Hession’s book, The Calvary Road is truly life-changing. It is a book on how we can have continual revival as Christians and by default, in the church. Let us never forget that the Lord Jesus, though exalted to the throne of God, is still the Lamb the book of Revelation tells us that and He wants to reproduce Himself in us.

This book forced me to take time to sit and have the Gy Spirit help me look into my heart and purge the sin in my life. This brought criticism because of its introspective element, from some he had previously worked with, but it was much appreciated by many Christians on both sides of the Hessipn.
However, it is full of “Christianeese” that leaves you feeling as though you’re reading one of those dull missionary newsletters. We’re to think about such things that are true and noble and good and pure and the like. In this book, it simply means a life of constant repentance of sin and unhindered fellowship with Jesus Christ.

That is certainly what I did. The early chapters seemed to fall into a familiar trap — the gospel was taken for granted as the basis for everything that was said, but never directly addressed. This is a truly great book. Great insights for personal revival.
Living calvart a constant state of peace also is an attainable goal.
